his course explores the dynamic intersection of design thinking and project-based learning, providing participants with the tools and methodologies to drive innovation and foster deep learning. Through hands-on projects and collaborative activities, participants will learn how to apply the human-centered design thinking process to address complex problems, while simultaneously engaging in the authentic, inquiry-driven nature of PBL. This course emphasizes the development of essential 21st-century skills, including: Critical thinking and problem-solving: By framing challenges through a design thinking lens. Creativity and innovation: Through ideation, prototyping, and iterative design. Collaboration and communication: Through team-based projects and presentations. Empathy and user-centeredness: By understanding and addressing the needs of real users. Participants will gain practical experience in each stage of the design thinking process: Empathize: Understanding user needs through research and observation. Define: Clearly articulating the problem based on user insights. Ideate: Generating a wide range of creative solutions. Prototype: Creating tangible representations of ideas for testing. Test: Gathering user feedback and refining solutions. Furthermore, this course will demonstrate how to effectively integrate these design thinking principles within the structure of project-based learning, leading to more engaging, meaningful, and impactful learning experiences.
