1. Analyze and annotate primary and secondary sources using sourcing, contextualization, corroboration, and close reading strategies to extract claims, evidence, and perspective across Modules 1–14 (CCSS RH.11-12.1, RH.11-12.2, RH.11-12.6, RH.11-12.8).
Objectifs d'apprentissage:
1. Identify and record author, audience, purpose, and date for at least four diverse documents per module using a sourcing checklist.
2. Differentiate primary from secondary sources and classify format type (e.g., speech, map, chart, photograph), justifying each classification with explicit criteria.
3. Evaluate credibility and bias by applying origin, corroboration, and internal consistency tests; rate each source with a brief rationale.
4. Annotate texts to determine central ideas and supporting evidence, tagging quotations, data points, and visuals with line or figure references.
5. Corroborate key claims by cross-checking two or more sources and summarize points of agreement, conflict, and unresolved questions.
2. Construct chronological narratives and causal explanations using timelines and cause–effect maps to show continuity and change across major eras from colonization to the 21st century (CCSS RH.11-12.3, RH.11-12.2, RH.11-12.9).
Objectifs d'apprentissage:
1. Sequence 8–12 key events from a module on an accurately scaled timeline with dates and intervals labeled.
2. Explain at least three direct or indirect causal links among events using evidence and clear because/led to/as a result reasoning.
3. Differentiate short-term and long-term causes and effects in a concise analytic summary (150–200 words) per module.
4. Identify one continuity pattern and one turning point per module, providing a brief rationale tied to evidence.
